OZmap joins the EAF supplier portfolio

The EAF is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established by Anatel to facilitate the deployment of 5G in Brazil. The organization is comprised of operators Claro, Tim, and Vivo, which won the national 5G auction for licenses in the 3.5 GHz band.

EAF's obligations, according to the 5G notice, are: to support the population in the migration from Free-to-Air TV (TVRO) from the C Band to the KU Band, with the installation of free kits of the new digital satellite dish for beneficiaries of federal social programs; to act in the vacancy and mitigation of the 3.5 GHz frequency band by the fixed-satellite service (FSS); to implement six information highways of the Norte Conectado project in the Amazon region; and to implement the Private Communication Network of the Federal Public Administration.

For the planning, design, and implementation of the government's private fixed networks in the 27 state capitals and mobile networks in the Federal District, a fiber optic network design tool is required. This tool monitors the implementation and inventory of the government's private fixed and mobile networks. OZmap won the bid for two distinct and complementary modules for network planning, design, implementation, and inventory.

OZmap's solutions will be applied on two fronts of EAF's operations. One of them is the implementation of the network of 6 infovias of the Norte Conectado Program, which will enable stable and high-speed broadband connection in more than 50 municipalities in the Amazon through underwater fiber optic cables. The second front of EAF's action that will rely on OZmap solutions is the implementation of the Federal Public Administration's Private Communication Network, which will connect devices and Federal Government buildings with high-level technology and security.

“Through the OZmap solution and family of applications, EAF will have speed, robustness and assertiveness in actions involving construction, maintenance and meeting the demands of the 5G and GPON Network”, says Rodrigo Kautzmann, president of DevOZ.” “Our software will make it possible to accelerate pre-planning, planning, design and engineering activities for the implementation and expansion of the telecommunications system.”
